2012 Rowland Tebb Pinot Noir Saveria Vineyard
WINE: Rowland Tebb winery crafts wines with minimal intervention (unfined and unfiltered) and an extremely small production allows for maximum attention to detail. Very few cases were produced.
PLACE: This wine is made with Pinot Noir vines from the Saveria Vineyard located in the Santa Cruz Mountains. This vineyard has a lot of history and was actually made famous by Lioco Winery and followed by Trail Marker and Loma Prieta. This is an exceptional, and sought after vineyard site, and the Santa Cruz area is the new hot spot for elegant Pinot.
PAIRING: Bright notes of raspberries, pomegranate, strawberry and dried cranberry followed by an earthy undertone, cola, and forest floor. We would pair this wine with lighter meats and cheese.
TAKEAWAY: This wine is incredibly small production wine, and is at a great price point for elegant California Pinot Noir. It's perfect for rehearsal dinners or dinner parties!
