2010 Failla Viognier Alban Vineyard

45.00

WINE: Few vintners have an opportunity to use fruit from the coveted Alban Vineyard, but Failla’s Ehren Jordan is an exception. Failla produces extraordinary single vineyard wines with varietals including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah from Sonoma Coast and this Viognier from Edna Valley.

PLACE: The Edna Valley, located in the Central Coast is similar to the Rhone region of France in terms of climate, which allows the Viognier grapes to reveal their true character.

PAIRING: This wine has much in the way of tropical fruit flavors with a nice creamy, round body. It is a wonderful accompaniment to Asian food and can hold up to dishes with a bit of spice really well.

TAKEAWAY: This is considered the unicorn wine to lovers of Failla. This is a tiny production and in some years in not even made.
